Welcome,  My name is Albert Dean, I am 27 years old and have  lived in the Wiregrass region of southeast Alabama my entire life,  near the town of Ozark.

This website is here to enable me share my artwork with family,  friends, and anyone who might happen to drop by. I have been  working as an artist for the past several years, first starting out  taking graphic design courses about five years ago. I changed my  focus from graphic design to more traditional fine arts after a few  years and I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Art from  Troy  University, Troy, Alabama in December of 2004.

Since graduating I have been working towards finding outlets for  getting my work out to the viewing public. I have entered several  juried exhibits in museums and galleries in this area, was awarded  an Award of Merit for the "Local Color" juried exhibit at the  Wiregrass  Museum of Art in Dothan, AL in 2003, and have taken  part in various other exhibits for school related projects.

I have mainly been concentrating on painting as my main medium, but I do venture into other areas from time to time. My artwork follows several styles including abstract expressionism, Pop art, and Post-modern art. Lately I have been trying to build on my past experience and take my artwork to a new level. As you will see I'm currently doing a lot of mixed media pieces and incorporating some realism and recognizable objects within my work instead of going totally nonobjective.

I hope you enjoy your visit here.

  ~ Albert
