Breaking Out

This was my senior thesis project that was completed in December 2004.

The painting was done in oil house paint on an actual unprimed chicken house curtain. The finished painting measured fifty feet in length and stood almost eight feet tall.
The subject matter of the piece, and the thesis paper that accompanied the piece, dealt with my struggles with being an extremely shy person and the fact that as I was getting ready to leave college I had let my shyness and fears of rejection get the best of me and had really missed out on befriending and getting to know a lot of great people.
